Emery tape
l Emery tapes are abrasive rolls used in industries to remove excess metal.
l Made from aluminum oxide, silicon carbide.
l Common width:25mm,50mm,100mm with length of 50 m.
l Common sizes:40,46,54,60,70,90,120,220,320,f,ff
Types of Emery tape used in sugar and chem
l FEPA=federation of European producers of abrasives.in fepa abrasives are named as P30, P60
l CAMI=coated abrasive manufactures institute.in cami, abrasives are named as 40.60, etc.
1. Fine emery tape: P60, P80
2. Very fine:P150,P180,P220
3. Extra fine:P400,P500
4. Superfine:P800,P1000
5. Ulta fine:P1500,P2000

l Common or usual abrasives
l Aluminium oxide(grey wheel or white tool room)
l Silicon carbide(green wheel)
l For grinding=TUNGUSTAN carbide
l Bench and pedestal grinding wheel=gray aluminum oxide, green silicon carbide
l Toolroom and surface grinding wheels
l For light finish=Pink grind wheel
l For tough heavy stock=ruby grind wheel
l Diamond and CBN grinding wheel
